Blue needle and thread case

Description

This is a small but very useful needle case and falls into the category of not judging anything by it’s size.  This is made from a blue suede like material with a gold coloured oriental scene embossed on the front. The contents are equally delightful with the original packet for three fine darning needles from the Brabant Needle Co.. Unfortunately these needles are missing but the original Nutshell fine darning thread is still present. Some has been used whilst others have not been touched (it is interesting to see what colour of stockings where in vogue when this case was used). There are seven skeins of thread – there being a subtle change in colour so that you could match your stockings perfectly. These probably date from the late 1950s to early 1960s.

The closed case measure 4.5 inches by 2 inches (12 cm by 5 cm) approx.
