Antique Scissors and Thimble

Description

This is a charming pair of vintage scissors and matching thimble from Toledo, Spain.  The scissors are still sharp despite their age.  The scissors are highly decorated and have a very charming design both on the blades and handles and are what they call “gold washed”. Although this type of scissor can date from the 1920s I believe these probably date from the 1940s or 1950s.

The little thimble has a decorative band and is a charming companion to the scissors.

The scissors are 6.5 inches (16 cm) long with a cutting blade of 2.5 inches (6 cm).
